Art Plus Award 2007
We are proud to be involved in City Forensis, the 3rd in a series of works by artist Seran Kubisa. which involves a forensic style investigation of peoples treasured artefacts and memories across the historic city of Portsmouth. This is funded by an Arts Plus Development Award and a full Final Award 07 for Innovation from the Arts Council of England and SEEDA with Science and Technology sponsored by Point Source Ltd.
In order to support the project Asitis Ltd have developed a wiki based collaborative website that allows contributions from anyone with an interest in Portsmouth.
Through the use of new media the site-specific aspects of the project will be brought together via the projects website where contributors will be able to upload imagery and comment on the work via the wiki. This ongoing archive of user contributed artefacts and thoughts, that has transitioned from the physical to the digital domain will in turn be used to generate video footage for light sculptures to be used throughout the length of the project thus reaffirming the notion of community as a regenerative whole. Ultimately the project will lead to permanent light sculptures across the city centre.
